Facial measurementPhotometrix' 3D technology allows cosmetic surgeons to accurately assess the outcome of clinical interventions. Facial features can be measured using either a hand-held system or, if greater reprocucibility is required, a dedicated stereotactic frame. The system takes 3D images in a matter of seconds. Analysis time depends on the complexity of the measurement task and ranges between 3 and 7 minutes. |

Typical exampleThe images below provide a typical example of facial measurement outcomes. The image pair on the left hand side shows parts of a face before and after the injection of a facial filler into the cheek. The coloured map visualises where volume changes occur with red indicating volume increase and blue showing a decrease. Over the treated area the increase in volume is 4.09 cubic cm. |
